QingZhu Lake: A Sales Center Turned Mini Library

WenLi Wu's Innovative Design Encourages a Return to Paper Books

The QingZhu Lake project, which started in July 2018 and was completed in October of the same year, is a testament to WenLi Wu's innovative approach to design. The building is not just a sales center; it also serves as a mini library, a space that Wu hopes will inspire people and transfer warmth and energy.

Wu's design is unique in its dual functionality. The building is intended to progress and self-actualize beyond its initial purpose. Instead of remaining at a level just to solve basic function, Wu envisions it as a space that can be given personal and social value.

Wu's design concept was brought to life using marble, glass, and wood floor materials. Covering an area of 1200 square meters, the building's design is inspired by the shape of pages of a book, creating a peaceful and calm atmosphere that Wu believes will inspire deep consideration.

The project faced several challenges, mainly in its innovative design concept. Wu's hope for the building to progress and self-actualize beyond its initial mission required a creative approach to design. However, these challenges were overcome, and the result is a building that not only serves its basic function but also inspires and transfers warmth and energy.

The QingZhu Lake project has been recognized for its innovative design, winning the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom. They are venerated products and bright ideas that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
